Are you good at math? Do you like to work with your hands? Do you enjoy a challenge and are interested in learning a skilled trade? This may be the position for you. Century Mold, a leading North American Automotive plastics supplier, is looking for a Mold Maker Apprentice for our Rochester facility. This program is in the approval process to become a New York State Registered Apprenticeship Training Program, which will thoroughly teach you to repair and make injection molds and earn you a Certificate of Completion which is recognized nationwide.

Development & Mastery of the following skills:
Machine Tools: Setup and operate CNC and manual precision machine tools including lathe, mill, grinder, drill press and electrical discharge machines (EDM)
Mechanical Assemblies: Proper assembly/disassembly of molds and mechanical systems
CAD/CAM: Use of computer with CAD/CAM software to analyze 3D part models
Lifting & Moving: Proper use of lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts
Measuring Tools: Proper use of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicator gage blocks and pins
High school diploma or general education development (GED) and a minimum of three months related experience and/or training in a machine shop or equipment combination of both education and experience
Strong math and mechanical skills
